At a site where no one in the past had ever seen a loader, an excavator or any other kind of strange monsters. At an area where skilled labor means man knows how to hunt and catch fish with bare hands. At an area where construction schedules mean little or nothing. Nonetheless, sand and gravels shoveled into the mixer, bagged cement poured and mixed concrete transported downward through chute and upward by human conveyer passing small buckets. People from government and villages watched, they watched and wondered just when like many others so called “investor” before NNHPC will pack up and leave. Only commitment made by NNHPC to Lao government and its people, determination to make Nam Nhone Hydro Power Plant the first of its kind helped NNHPC to press on. After three years of tears and sweats, on July 22, 2011 with a small ceremony attended by the Governor of Bokeo among other distinguish officials from Vientiane, Thailand PEA representatives from ChiangMai and local guests, Nam Nhone Hydro Power Plant with all their blessings.
